Past

McGinley was a family business formed in 1978 to bridge a gap due to a lack of resource in the construction labour market. Initially in London and eventually operating nationally via a network of offices set up over time, the core business developed to encompass a wider scope with the industry. Adding management, technical and commercial staffing helped to cement McGinley as a supplier of all the resources needed within the building industry. Then with a move into the civil engineering sector in the mid 90s, again the scope of engineering skills offered was widened and following the addition of various support services and industrial supply capability the company increasingly found itself in a position to provide a comprehensive service to a wide infrastructure and civil engineering marketplace.


Present

Today, McGinley Support Services is a thriving Top 100 recruitment and support services company providing a national service across many infrastructure and associated industrial markets. It remains a family owned private business and with over 74m in sales it's financially robust and can take on a range of high value assignments. With 150 staff and 2500 staff and operatives on hire, McGinley Support Services has the mass needed by major recruitment buyers to reduce their costs and improve efficiencies in the supply chain. Thirty years of trading have given McGinley Support Services a mature and open outlook on business and this is reflected in our current approach to customers - consultative, offering financial transparency and seeking out long term relationships. Although the current market has been challenging for some of our segments we have worked hard with customers on efficiency programmes to help reduce their overall costs and have made progress in areas where infrastructure investment remains consistent. 


Future

Our mission is to be the market leader in recruitment and support services to the infrastructure sector of the civil engineering industry and any associated market place. This we believe we can achieve over the coming years and are committed to making a difference to our customers' HR and recruitment outcomes to help us with our goal. We want to be synonymous with providing a competitive yet customised recruitment service with added value to both infrastructure companies and customers using the transport infrastructure and we hope to have made even more of a difference to local communities, bringing jobs to people living local to major infrastructure projects and transport hubs.
