Fleet

Your work is time critical so we make sure that our national fleet is on hand to move the workforce to where it’s needed when it’s needed. Bases around the UK give us the ability to plan and recruit for projects or maintenance work where you are, whatever infrastructure sector is in need of skilled staff.

We operate around the clock, giving you access to our people and transport service on a 24/7 basis. Critically, the control centre is tracking drivers and monitoring behaviour at all times. During unsociable hours, where traffic volumes are light, there’s a tendency for drivers to take greater risks, but our 24/7 monitoring systems help keep those risks to a minimum.

We've Got it Covered

  • 240 vehicles
  • 420 authorised drivers
  • Managing safety risks to and from worksites

In 2017, we undertook an in-depth review of our transport service. From drivers to our supply chain of companies to the way in which we managed the process internally, we examined all aspects.

We re-invented our transport arrangements and are now ready with a fleet of vehicles supported by drivers, systems and procedures that meet strict safety guidelines. In fact, we think we’ve gone beyond that and now have an infrastructure finely tuned to the needs of the UK infrastructure sector as a whole.

Central to this was the introduction of active real-time telemetry devices FlexicamPlus and Driver ID and our continuous driver behavioural improvement programme. All our vehicles are now fitted with trackers and camera’s including our class leading active fatigue monitoring devices.

By constantly monitoring behaviours, movements, trends and usage, we have been able to identify and mitigate risk between homes and worksites. For example: between 1/17 and 4/17 we had 153 accidents and in comparison from 01/18 to 01/19 we had only 71 accidents. This shows an impressive reduction of 53.5%.

Furthermore, we have been able to reduce our environmental footprint by better managing our fleet.

Now we continue to use management reporting data to identify more effective and efficient ways of getting our workforce to and from their worksite safely.
