McGinley Support Services is currently recruiting De-Veg Operatives to join a key phase of the HS2 project in the Birmingham and Coventry areas. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced De-Veg Operatives to work on one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure projects.

🌲 Role Overview:

As a De-Veg Operative, you will play a critical role in vegetation clearance and environmental preparation along the HS2 route. The work involves strimming, felling, and supporting site clearance teams under strict safety and environmental guidelines.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out vegetation clearance, strimming, and tree felling
  • Operating chainsaws and other de-veg equipment safely
  • Supporting environmental and ground clearance teams
  • Complying with environmental and health & safety regulations

🛠 Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card
  • Chainsaw qualifications (CS30/31 or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a De-Veg Operative, or in arboriculture, landscaping, or soft estates
  • Physically fit, reliable, and safety-conscious
  • Own transport preferred due to site access

✅ Desirable (but not essential):

  • Lantra qualifications
  • Brushcutter, CAT & Genny, or MEWP tickets
  • Experience on major infrastructure or rail projects

💷 Pay Rates:

  • Standard: £17.31 p/h (PAYE Direct)
  • Overtime (after 10 hrs): £23.02 p/h
  • Weekends: £25.97 p/h
