The Role:
As a Fitter's Mate, you will work alongside experienced Heavy Plant Fitters, assisting with the service, maintenance, and repair of machinery. A solid mechanical background is essential, and this role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in the plant or engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Fitters with mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy plant and machinery

• Help with tool preparation, lifting, and part replacements

• Clean, inspect, and organise work areas and tools

• Learn on the job and develop mechanical skills in a real-world setting

• Ensure safe working practices at all times

Requirements:

• Proven mechanical background (either hands-on experience or relevant qualification)

• Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to learn

• Good understanding of tools and mechanical systems

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on role

• CSCS card (preferred)

• Driving licence (preferred)
