To generate and guide sales through host employers in the necessary sector to place our flexi-apprentices with. Create link with sales and Delivery teams, with a structured, organised approach. Starting with early market research to identify opportunities and establish Business Development priorities, through to transitioning sales opportunities that have been 'won' from award to operational status with effective mobilisation for new customers or new contracts with existing customers. Also supporting staff with a Sales responsibility by guiding them through procedure & process and providing data and support as required.
How the role impacts the business:
This role ensures that we initially target the best opportunities balancing likelihood to secure host employers and size of opportunity, to maintain a continuous flow of pipeline opportunities and an appropriate 'win' ratio, and to influence levels of contract wins and growth in revenue and profitability. The role also ensures that when we secure a new contract, we commence supplying people through that contract as soon as practically possible given the contractual arrangements. This in turn ensures that the company is generating revenue earlier having a positive impact on company profitability.
*Support Flexi-Apprenticeship Manager in Business Development through their contract closure process as a 'won' opportunity or award moves from customer notification to contract document signing.
*Co-ordinate the mobilisation of new contracts compliant with any contractual requirements and in accordance with mobilisation processes and procedures and checklists.
*Act as the internal co-ordinating lead during transition until normal operational control commences.
*Act as the customer advocate and ensure the promotion of awareness of specific customer requirements for the relevant staff.
*Review and ensure that the CRM is updated with new information following consultation with different internal departments.
*Gather any relevant competitor intelligence on new contracts and record
*Ensure completion of handover meeting sand mobilisation plans where required
*Support Business Development Mangers/ Account Managers with their introductory communications with all customer contacts
*Check that initial orders have been filled and satisfactory feedback is received from customer
*Report on mobilisation progress and performance
*Provide the necessary support and co-ordination for sales staff, encouraging individuals to hit or exceed their targets whilst maintaining consistent pipelines.
*Research segments, identify new target companies and associated project or agreement opportunities.
*Ensure the collation of required minimum data within RDB
*Maintain a system for sales planning that ensures third party leads (a.k.a. opportunities) are collated and made accessible to sales staff (e.g.Leads from ABI, internet, portals, press)
*Allocate 'Watching Briefs' for Mega Projects in accordance with the Sales Plan
*Maintain a system that ensures the appropriate ranking and positioning of company records within National, Region, Area & Marketing levels in accordance with the Sales Plan
*Liaise with marketing, advise on standard digital sales material required for sales staff
*Provide data to aid performance management of sales staff
*Undertake additional duties as required to project manage innovative ways to meet client requirements -this may involve working alongside CSR, Marketing and Business Intelligence amongst others.
