A Project Engineer is required for works delivery team of major rail organisation. This is an initial 6 month contract, based remotely with occasional meetings in York.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting construction teams with design and engineering assurance activity for signalling portfolio. You will be working to DPE level for minor signalling renewal and enhancements and RSE (Responsible Signalling Engineer (RSE) for scheduled renewals to maintenance schedule.

Successful candidate will have experience of working to DPE level for signalling projects, with excellent experience of design and engineering assurance activity. Membership of a relevant body would be desirable and IRSE competence would also be preferred. Engineer Manager (Projects) status would be required for this position, as would valid PTS/Sentinel.

This role has been determined inside IR35.
