McGinley has taken another step in supporting our teams in the North West with the arrival of eight brand-new branded vans! These vehicles have been allocated to our Heaton Mersey civils teams, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the region.
To mark this milestone, we chose to photograph the new fleet at The Grove Hotel, just up the road from our Watford headquarters—a location with a deep-rooted connection to the railway industry.
During World War II, The Grove was the secret wartime headquarters for London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS), ensuring the continuation of vital rail operations. But its railway legacy didn’t end there. For many years, The Grove served as a railway training centre, first for the British Transport Commission, then for British Rail. In 1968, it became home to a Civil Engineers’ training centre, complete with its own railway track for hands-on training.
This connection between past and present highlights how rail infrastructure has always played a crucial role in keeping the country moving—both then and now.
Branded with McGinley’s identity and featuring QR codes, these vans will be a familiar sight travelling up and down the M1 and M6, ensuring maximum visibility for our business while supporting our teams in delivering essential projects for Network Rail.
Jamie Zineldin, Head of Operations – Rail Systems, shared his thoughts:
Each vehicle is equipped with advanced tracking systems and limiters, ensuring worker safety and efficiency. We are also exploring eco-friendly enhancements as part of our ongoing sustainability commitments.
Keep an eye out for our McGinley-branded vans on the road, and stay tuned for more updates, including photos of our teams with their new vehicles!
