Contract Supervisor - Contracting Works (Rail)
Site based mobile role out of Watford or Dartford Office
2x P/T positions available (Days or Nights tbc)
3.5 days per week - £32k pro rata (£48k fte)
Are you a Contract Supervisor with experience as an SSOW Planner or possibly Possession Planning, willing to initially undertake this post on a part-time basis leading to a full time role as our book of contracting works continues to grow? **(we would assist with suitable top-up work in the interim).

As Contract Supervisor, reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be based out of either our Watford or Dartford Offices, responsible for supervising a number of projects or possibly a section of works on a specific project.
You will be required to ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors; Directing and supervising their day to day operations and ensuring appliance of common operational procedures.
Responsibilities of our new Contract Supervisor also include;
*Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the project programme.
*Schedule, control and monitor all plant and materials on a weekly basis.
*Ensure all work is completed to project programme.
*Fulfil the role of missing operatives when required.
*Liaise with Contracts Manager/Project Manager, and Contract Surveyor regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions.
*Carrying out safety inspections and fulfilling the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company's Policy and in compliance with OHSAS 18001 management system.
*Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001and ISO 14001.
*Create and maintain good relations with clients, design teams and neighbor's as well as any other stakeholders.
*Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of own activity related to projects to enable traceability.
*Fulfil the role of Mentor as and when required.
*Control and monitor site waste
*Continually develop knowledge of innovative construction techniques and products to enhance the business and fulfil company CPD requirements.
*Contribute to the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives
Key Requirements of our new Contract Supervisor include;
*Project management experience
*Qualified SSOPW Planner
*Excellent personal presentation, professionalism in all forms of communications;
*Excellent time management and general organisational skills;
*Have a methodical approach, paying attention to detail;
*Be familiar with a range of quality standards and models;
*Experience in overcoming objections and influencing others;
*Strong interpersonal skills;
*A dedicated approach;
*Possession planner competency would be an advantage in this role
You may be required to work nights and weekends, and your working week will be arranged to suit the needs of the projects being executed.
