McGinley Support Services are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager based at in York.
You will provide commercial management of in-house design activities and specialist commercial advice, guidance and recommendations to maximise commercial opportunities and mitigate risks. This role requires a collaborative approach whilst recognising the importance of formal cost controls and ensuring compliance with corporate governance and the Quality Management System.
You will also produce all necessary documentation for external contracts for design support services as well as commercial correspondence and contractual notices. You will liaise with our broad internal client base on the commercial status of design projects and contribute to our business reporting. As a member of the team, you will identify commercial areas for continuous improvement, assist in the development of suitable metrics for measuring success and roll out new initiatives
Your experience will include:
*experience in commercially managing investment projects
*Demonstrable relevant experience
*Good understanding of railway and construction industry forms of contract
*Good understanding of the construction/railway industry
*Good negotiation skills
*Educated to degree standard in related subject
*Membership of a relevant professional institute, chartered status
*Significant experience of working within a generalist commercial environment
*Awareness of industry issues
*Six Sigma Yellow Belt
Rates - £338.31 Umbrella Gross or £301.88 PAYE - In Scope of IR35 (no Ltd Company or CIS Payments)
