We have an exciting opportunity at a multi-million pound civil engineering firm, working out of seven regional offices across the country. This role is for a Managing Quantity Surveyor of the Northern Region of the firm in a permanent contract.
The main purpose of this role is to manage commercial function of their northern region and work closely with the Regional Director in taking responsibility for the operating region.
Ideal candidates will have experience in managing and guiding a large team across various projects; recruitment, management and development of regional staff; excellent communication skills to ensure present commercial reports are being delivered to the regional manager; and ensure all work complies with quality safety and environmental policies.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate knowledge of working as a Managing QS on a broad range of civil engineering projects including highways, infrastructure and structures; and be proficient in all aspects of NEC form contracts. It would also be desirable that candidates have RICS or ICES.
