If you have had exposure to risk management working within a Project Management Office (PMO) on major projects, and keen on focusing on risk management, this could be the role for yourself.
A major infrastructure management organisation is recruiting a Programme Risk Manager for a diverse portfolio of highways projects throughout the East of England. Based in Bedford, this risk manager will be responsible for driving improvements and deliverables in risk management with key stakeholders throughout the portfolio, championing risk management in the process.
Although there will be risk registers and risk reports to be established and maintained, it is the people skills that will make the difference in this role.
Somebody who is prepared to build relationships with stakeholders, have challenging discussions in promoting risk management with resilience and perseverance. Somebody who is keen to mentor and coach others and evangelise about risk management throughout the portfolio.
A recognised project management qualification would be desirable, such as APM or MSP.
This really is a fantastic opportunity to take the leap with an organisation that would be keen to develop your skills into a purely risk management role.
