Senior Developer

A Senior Software Developer is required for development of bespoke in-house planning system for major rail organisation. Primarily working from home, with occasional visits to Milton Keynes when restrictions ease. This is an initial 6 month contract, that may well be extended beyond.

Duties will be to develop in-house train planning system utilising an existing roadmap. System utilises Oracle, Java and Websphere 8.5 reporting into a team of 3 technical leads with weekly virtual team meetings.

Successful candidate will have proven experience of software and application development. Ideally with string knowledge of Oracle and Java with some experience of working rail sector and knowledge of rail sector terminology.

This role is for a publicly funded organisation and has been determined inside IR35.
