McGinley Driving Success at the Brake Fleet Safety Awards 2019

Brake’s annual Fleet Safety Awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers. Entries are invited from organisations running any type and size of fleet, and from companies that provide products or services to fleets.

McGinley was delighted to be shortlisted for three Brake Fleet Safety Awards earlier this year and are thrilled to announce that following a celebratory gala dinner on the 19^th September we won the 'Company Driver Safety Award - Small Fleet' for the second year in a row, as well as our Fleet Manager Mick Kiely being highly commended for ‘Road Risk Manager of the Year’

Sarah Plumb, senior fleet officer at Brake, the road safety charity said: ‘A huge congratulations to McGinley on winning the award for company driver safety (small fleet) for a second year running! The judges were impressed with the innovative steps which the organisation had taken to invest in continuous driver behavioural development offering real-time response to vehicle defects and routine servicing, and ultimately reinventing its transport arrangements to meet the needs of the infrastructure sector. The statistics said it all with a 53% reduction in road crashes across its fleet and improving their average driver safety score from 75 to 85%. A huge well done from all of the team at Brake.”
