McGinley Support Services gain ‘FORS bronze’ recognition!

We are pleased to announce that McGinley Support Services has gained the ‘FORS Bronze’ award. The accreditation scheme has been developed to encourage companies to improve road freight, including safety, vehicle emissions and enhanced operations.

In a thorough audit, McGinley Support Services was required to submit detailed information on its last 12 months of fleet fuel consumption, CO2 emission calculations and tyre use

Mick Kiely, Fleet Manager said “We’re incredibly proud to be FORS accredited. It gives us the perfect platform to monitor, manage and improve our fleet and is an acknowledgement of our commitment to safety and compliance. I am proud of our team and the commitment they have shown to achieve this accreditation and we are motivated to continue to strive for Silver FORS in the future.”

What is FORS?

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is an accreditation scheme that aims to improve fleet activity in London and throughout the UK and beyond.

Who's it for?

FORS is subsidised, voluntary and open to any company operating a fleet including vans, lorries, mini-buses and coaches.

"The FORS process of accreditation and continuous improvements makes sound business sense, and gives customers peace of mind that the organisation they contract with take safety and compliance seriously. The added benefit of accident reduction and public recognition of high standards means the potential to stand out from others when competing for new business."

Theo de Pencier, Chief Executive of the Freight Transport Association (FTA)

Why should I Join?

FORS can help you to stand out from the crowd and prove to current and prospective customers that you are an operator that works to standards above the legal minimum. Additionally, accreditation of the scheme gives you access to a range of exclusive benefits that offer real competitive advantage.

FORS aims to:

  • Recognise and reward excellence
  • There are three levels of FORS accreditation which reward excellence: bronze, silver and gold.
  • Raise standards
  • FORS provides you with the information and tools you need to follow best practice, rather than focusing purely on keeping within the law.
  • Improve your competitive advantage
  • Regardless of whether your fleet is made up of vans, lorries, mini-buses, coaches, buses or a combination, as a FORS accredited company, you can take advantage of exclusive benefits that will help your business through improved competitive advantage.
